Who can attend YFC Camp?

Any student age 11-19 is able to attend YFC Camp. Regular involvement in our weekly programs is NOT a requirement to go to camp.

Middle School: For students who are at least 11 years old and have completed 5th-8th grade
High School: For students who have completed 9th-12th grade. That’s right: if you are a 2018 graduate, its not too late for you to go to camp!

LIFE AT CAMP

SPENDING MONEY

We have had some parents ask about spending money. The camp fee covers all activities and events, and there will be no additional money needed (for activities such as the zipline or rock climbing, etc). However, during free time, the Snack Shack will be open. Students who have spending money may buy treats, hot dogs, smoothies, etc. Items range in price from $1—$4 each.
The camp will also have apparel available for purchase at camp. If your child is interested in purchasing a T-shirt, sweatshirt, hat, etc, plan on items ranging from $10 to $25.

ELECTRONIC DEVICES

LOST, STOLEN, BROKEN: Three words that can wreck a camper’s week. For those reasons, electronic devices such as cell phones, tablets or portable video game systems are not allowed at camp. Campers are allowed to have these items for the bus ride to and from camp. However, once we reach camp, all electronic devices will be turned in and stored safely until the end of camp. We find it an important element of camp for students to break away from distractions, including their beloved devices. All devices will be returned as we are leaving the camp for the bus ride back home.

SAFETY FIRST, SAFETY SECOND

PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONS

Please remember, if your child is taking any medications (prescription or over the counter) our camp nurse will be distributing them (with exceptions for inhalers, epi-pens, etc). Please make sure that medications are in the original pharmacy containers with your child’s name, dosage info, etc. If it is an over the counter medicine, please label the bottle with your child’s name.

DIETARY NEEDS

If your child has any special dietary needs (such as food allergies, a gluten-free or vegetarian diet, etc.), please indicate this on your child’s camper registration form.

How do I register my child for camp?

Instructions for online registration will be available in Early to Mid April. Check back for updates
