Darwin Van Horn

Darwin Van Horn joined the Youth for Christ staff in October 2003 as the High School Campus Life Coordinator at the Mason City location.  He provided leadership in the areas of large group and small group coordination, outreach events, Caravan trips, funding events and counseling teens for 6 years.  In 2009 he accepted the invitation to help launch North Iowa YFC’s first satellite ministry in Franklin County. Darwin and his family moved to Hampton, Iowa in November 2009 and currently serves as the Franklin County Area Director.

Darwin is a graduate of CAL Community High School (Latimer, Iowa) and Iowa State University with a degree in Journalism & Mass Communication. He enjoys youth trips, watching his sons play sports, writing, track & field, basketball, spending time with family on the family farm, substitute teaching, meeting new people and encouraging others.

 Darwin and his wife Koreen have been married 19 years and have three sons-  Ben, Jacob & Sam.
